Server 2003 CDROM blue screen error

Hello,

I have recently deployed a 2003 server to a client. The system worked fine, unfortunatley when the client loaded their backup software which was not 2003 compliant the CDROM drivers failed.

Now everytime I start the server with a CDROM drive installed the server crashes, in both normal and safe mode. Without the CDROM drive the system functions normally.

The failure occurs right as the OS is loading and the Windows 2003 screen is being shown.
Ideas? I believe it is a bad driver somewhere, but I am not familiar with the 2003 system yet.
