Server 2003 Databases and other Software slow respond time

Hello,

I’m running Windows Server 2003 in a workgroup. I have yet to create a domain because when I do, not all systems see to be able to login, and having a problem setting up the DNS Server…. thats a question for a different time.

Okay, so I have set on all machines, and on the server for the Anti-Virus to not check the Network drives. Browsing through folder, and saving doesn’t have a delay…

However, when we open a MS Access Database from a shared on the server, or PCLaw fromt he server, the response time is slow. Its also very slow to respond if we try to make a new folder onto the share.

Any help or tips would be great.
