So I searched the forums to no avail, no one has seemed to have the same problem.
I have a small (20) machine domain to give me somthing to play with after work.
Anyways, I bought a new server to use as my PDC, and I followed all of the steps I found here http://support.microsoft.com/kb/555549 to migrate all of the roles to the new machine. I have checked the DNS on all the computers involved, and they are capable of resolution. But when I try to demote the old server from DC, it tells me that the domain cannot be reached.
Also, when trying to check the roles to make sure I didnt miss anything, The old server gets an access denied error when I try to connect the admin tools to the new server. But the new server can connect to the old server, just when I enter the snapins it gives me an error.
Im not really sure whats going on. But any help or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks in advance
