Server 2008 STD Guide

I’m planning on configuring a fresh Server 2008 STD environment. I’m looking for a good Server 2008 implementation guide. Can anyone recommend any good books that easy on the eyes and simple. Most books I’ve seen/read when it comes to configuration have been dry and boring. I’m also looking for a good GP template…any suggestions?
