Server Abends

I have a Compaq DL380 server configured with Netware 5.1 SP3.The problem i’m having is that when the server is rebooted with the lan cable plugged in the server abends into a critical state and then shows an error NMid:= 4001a. Does anyone have any ideas to what could be causing my problems.
