Server can’t ping external network

by aburroughs . Updated 17 years, 7 months ago

SBS 2003 Server connected to switch along with firewall. DNS configured on server and firewall.

The workstations can connect out to the internet just fine using a static DNS address. When configured with a local DNS, with the server’s Forwarding set as the external DNS, URLs are not resolved, and the process fails.

The server cannot ping URLs or IP addresses. Both NICs in the server function in the same way. Anyone have any idea as to what could be wrong?
