I am running novell 5 on a dell PowerEdge 2550 with Veritas NetBackup. We have a backup server (connected to a 20 tape robot)that is used to “remotely” connect to the other servers in the data center and run the backups at any given time. This works on all of the servers (NT, 2000, Novell) and did work on our Main file server up until about 2 months ago. we have called dell and veritas both. Veritas has no idea, and dell had us run some BS diagnostics. What it actually happening when we run the backup,wheather we run a manual or a scheduled, it shows the status as running on the backup server, however when you go to this particular novell server, it is either at the c: prompt or it has rebooted itself. we are not sure where else to go from here and any help would be greatly appreciated. this is not a good situation as we have not had a full back up in 2 months. If any one has had any problems with veritas and novell such as this Please Respond. Thank you in advanced!
