Server Hangs

I have an HP Netserver LC 3 that now hangs on the Windows 2000 server splash screen when booting. All of the hard drive lights stay lit and it has no response. I have attempted to boot into safe mode but have the same problem and when it bootsup on the splash screen it seems to freeze up about 3/4 is the way on the status bar. I did perform some recent updates of MS Patches VGX833989 and KB873374. Any idea’s on how to resolve this?
