Please help! Im setting up a windows 2003 server, the guy who loaned me the machine has set up RAID 5 i think? At first, set up was hanging up at “Windows is setting up” and would nt get any further, with no cntrl, alt del availiable, so I downloaded the necessary drivers to support fast trak 100 and now i am faced with the message, “windows did not find any hard disk drives on your computer” push f3 to exit set up? I have found my into the FASTBUILD utility at start up, and am now faced with 6 options,
1 auto setup, i press this and a msg flashes, “no availiable disks,
2 View Drive Assignments, i enter this and i can see the ARRAY 1 as bootable, and can do nothing else
3 Define Array, I enter this and can again see the array, with 4 drives, in STRIPE as FUNCTIONAL
4 Delete Array, im scared to push this one!
5 Rebuild Array, when i push enter on the array, a msg flashes, “Recovery is not applicable” prerss any key to continue.
6 Controller Config, which shows Channels 1 and 2 as Interrupt 9 I/O ports DFFO ands DFA8
This is all the information I can think to give you, please help some one with more brains than me!
