setting up a printer for VPN users on a private network

by reparent . Updated 18 years, 2 months ago

Hi, here is my situation. We have a private network connected on a DSL line using the 192.168.1.1 Router (so all IPs are in the 192.168.1.X range). But I have some employees that use VPN to connect to another network and when they do, they obviously get different IP and can no longer connect to a given printer thats on a network. I tried messing around the IP address on the printer to change it with same subnet, gateway and IP range as the VPN network but it will not route to it.

Is there anyway I can setup that printer (that is connected in the Router with IP 192.168.1.X) so that whoever connects to VPN could print to it? The printer would only be used for the employees who connects trough VPN.

Thanks guys!

Remi
