Setting up a single server domain.

I’m setting up a single server domain for an internal office. I’m using SiteName.local as my FSDN. I’ve followed all the steps from installing server 2003 on the server to adding dns,A/D, DHCP. I’ve restarted the server afterwards but when I try to login as the administrator of the domain the domain isn’t in the drop down. I’m just seeing the NETBIOS name which i’ve never had happen before. I’m also having an issue with connecting the clients to the server and I’m wondering if the NetBios nam,e thing is causing it.
So help would be greatly appreciated.
