Setting up a small network

I currently have 3 PC’s and 3 Inkjet Printers all stand alone, I have a handy 4 way Hub and 3 network cards. I wish to setup a small client/server network using this equipment, and tips and tricks or even advice that could help me? Many Thanks M.
