This question may be pretty basic, but I’ve searched the web and can’t seem to find the answer out there. And I’m not a network guy, so I’m still getting my feet wet on most of this stuff. Hopefully some of you can help.
What I want to do is quite simple, I’ve got a test server (Win2K Server) that I want to set up on the web, to allow clients and outside developers/testers to access for our web based application. The problem is that I only have 1 IP address from my ISP. Now I know the easy way is to get another IP address, but dealing with my ISP is a pain. So I’m exploring other alternatives.
I’ve got multiple computers on our network running through a Proxy server. I’m looking into changing this by going with a Router/Firewall. I know I can set up NAT, but will that work for my incomming traffic as well?
Thanks in advance.
