Setting up putty for cisco gear

I’ve been using hyperterm private, my key is about to expire, and i cannot get putty to work.

What settings need to be changed to make it work with cisco gear.

I thought it would work without any configuration?

I set Stop Bits, parity etc correctly, but I am defidently missing something………
