shared terminal services printer

I have clients connecting remotely to a terminal server, they share printers locally (connected to client PC). I have setup a logon script to map users to use the shared printer and set the relevant permissions to access the printer. This works, however when the user who has the shared printer connected locally logs off, the printer permissions are reset. Is there a script that can maintain the permissions or is there a better way to do this??
