Sharing DSL Connection

Friend of mine has DSL on Win98. He plans on buying a new computer and attempt to share the DSL conection? What is the easiest and cheepest( if thast even possible ) way to go about it? Also will sharing the connection slow down the overall speed ofthe DSL on either computer? Any input will be helpful and thanks ahead of time !
