I have a notebook & and a desktop system networked via a broadband router (D-Link). Notebook is a P4 2.5 and the main computer is a AMD desktop system, both use XP (notebook XP home edition, desktop XP pro)
My situation is this:
When the desktop(main computer)is running and someone is surfing with the firewall activated, I cannot access shared files, nor the shared printer with my notebook. I setup my systems using the network wizard and all works well.I have a broadband connection and both computers are used by all in my home. The firewall is up at all times when onlne. I just have this issue with the firewall.
My questionis this:
Is there a way to have an open connection between the two systems while still having the firewallprotection?
