Sharing in Windows 2000 Professional

I need to share a drive for backup purposes. Right clicking on the drive does not give me a sharing option. It was told to me that if the sharing option does not appear that I have to enable the server service but when I go to the services tab, there is not server service to enable. Being so unfamiliar with Windows 2000 Professional, I am not sure what my next step would be.
