Sharing problems

by rodrich1954 . Updated 16 years, 5 months ago

I am running a W2K3 Server and have a few shared directories. The server is only logged into locally but is joined to the network. The shares are accessible via two network accounts and those accounts have full rights to the directories. The problem is that though I can access those shares for read, I get the following error when I try to modify or write to them in any way from those network accounts. I am one of the two accounts that have the full rights to those shared directories. The other user can’t do anything but read them either. The error we get follows trying to paste a file for example. It doesn’t matter if I am trying to paste a file, update a file, create a new file or folder, etc. I still get a similiar error. Any ideas what may be wrong would be appreciated.

Cannot copy somefile: Access is denied

Make sure that the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currently in use.
