sharing quickbooks data on win xp

I have a client with a two cpu lan running windows xp home on both systems with no server and am trying to open quickbooks pro on the second cpu from the first. when i try accessing the default file on the main system, windows xp wont let me share the program files. and quickbooks doesnt let you change the default directory for files from c:\programfiles\intuit\quickbooks
