Should I learn ASP before VB?

Hello All,

I am a college student just starting my curriculum and I wanted to start learning to program over the Holiday.

My question is, would I be at a loss if I were to try to learn ASP before VB? Am I trying to run before I walk or would this be a good/easier way to learn programming methodology? As a side note, my programming experience to date is limited to HTML and rudimentary javascript.
