Slow boot on W98 after Navidad.exe Virus

Recently, got the fun of digging out the Navidad.exe Internet worm virus.

Everything seems to be fine except now the system wants about an hour to start up.

Seems to be taking forever loading the systems drivers.

System is a Compaq Presario5202 AMD K6 processor.

Any ideas what could have been corrupted.
