Slow Browsing

We have a W98 workstation that is extremely slow when it initially browses the network to see available drives. It occurs when the user trys to select a different folder to either open or save a file to. After the initial 2-5 minute snafu, the workstation performs as expected on subsequent opens or saves.

We have a mixed Novell/NT network with up to 6 mapped drives. The mappings occur at login.

Any ideas on where to look?
