Slow log on to MS Exchange 5.5 SP3
Hello,
We have a small office runing win95/98 PCs logging on to our NT PDC 4.0 running MS EXCHANGE 5.5. When launching OULOOK 2000, you have to click on ‘RETRY’ two or three times to get past the message ‘Exchange server not availble, select RETRY or WORK OFFLINE’, once the client finds the server, it then takes 20 minutes for the PC to fully load OULOOK 2000 and make it useable so you can check email for example. Outlook literrally gives you the busyhour glass for 20 minutes; this happens on all PCs. Menawhile, you can do other things on the PC or over the network just fine and fast too. Once OUTLOOK is loaded, it runs correctly and fast. Any ideaas how to speed up the log in process?? Thank you in advance.
