small network

I have 3 computers running windows me and I want to network them so they all could use the one internal DSL line. They all are using internet sharing and have TCP/IP with no internal IP addresses. Unfortunatly one or more freezes up or is too slow to do any good. Am I missing something? (Oh they are all hooked into a hub)
