SMS 2.0 Kills Hard Drives

I suspect SMS 2.0(1493)is causing workstation Disk Boot Failures. Can’t put my finger on the problem but suspect SMS is the culprit. W2K WAN/LAN environmnet, Windows 2000 Professional workstations. Happens to IBM & Western Digital hard drives. Every day one out 50 hard drives fail in my enterprise. Has anyone run across this symptom?
