SMS Admin Console cannot access server

I have a SMS 2.0 SP4 environment running on Windows 2000 Advanced Servers. I am trying to connect to the primary site server via MMC Admin Console on a Windows 2000 Pro SP2 machine. It installs fine however when it tries to connect to the site server it immediatelly fails.

I have tried:
Reinstalling the console

WBEMSDK.EXE /SERVER (on both server and Wks)

Enabled Distributed COM on both Server and Wks

Added direct security rights for my Domain account through wmimgmt.msc. (I log into the same domain as the Primary site Server
