I have installed SMS 2.0 on an NT4.0 network consisting of 1 PDC and 3 BDC’s. SMS is installed on one of the BDC’s.
All Domain controllers were discovered and the appropriate agents installed (all set as logon points). However, although client logon discovery & install have been configured I could not get the system to discover clients (logon script OK).
I traced this to the fact that SMS had copied the SMS scripts to the EXPORT folder of the PDC, which is not set as our epl master at the moment. This was fixed by copying the scripts to the repl master EXPORT folder.
Now that clinets are discovered, they are not being installed with agents, although the logs show that they have been asssigned.
CCIM32.log indicates the following error message;
“Abstract export ABEXPRT:\\CAP List for site ABC not accessable ”
caplist.ini on a typical client seems to indicate the correct site/CAP server
Can anyone explain what the root cause of the problem is and how best to fix it?
