SMS Site Question

I have a server that is part of a site that is a domain controller. I want to move the server to it’s own SMS 2.0 Secondary site. I am unable to perform the install as I get error message stating it belongs to an existing site.

How do I remove a domain controller and install SMS 2.0 as a new secondary site.
