Software Management

I am interested to know what everyone is doing at their shops to manage vendor/third party software? At my previous employement, we had a tall fire proof filing cabinet and we were putting all the cds there. In my new employement, we have a 2 drawer metal credenza and I can’t help but think that there has to be a better way.
