Software testing: Is it a good career option?

Hello,
My friend has done BSc(Zoo) and PG Diploma in Hospital Mgt (Age: 23Y), but she whant to shift to IT and interested in persuing career in software testing.

Would you please tell me if this will be a wise decision and if yes which courses she must to do to have career in software testing, Also list some institutes for that in Pune.
