software update from Virtual server on Domain without AD set

Hello.

we have Domain on samba seted up in our office and domain at Win Server. + added one virtula server via VM-ware. at our Virtual server is new updates of software stored.

I’m looking for advice about how can user (standing on Windows XP client) of our domain update their software from current virtual server without AD working.

I know there is the way to do this with AD, and know it is exist way to make it without them aswell (someone said it can be done with some script/registry entire).

any advice?
