something is wrong with the browser

im currently connected to the internet and can browse freely between any number of sites but as soon as a site asks me to enter my password the this page can not be displayed shows on the screen. this is highly annoying as i can not sign in to check my e mails or any other site im a member of….. please please please someone help me!
