Sound Blaster Sound card

I have a Creative labs Ensoniq Sound Blaster AudioPCI 64V sound card that I have tried to install the drivers for in an 400Mhz K6-2 , 64Mb System.And keep receiving a message that says the drivers I am about to install are not for the sound card, after going to Creatives site and downloading the drivers as well as the installation disk that came with the card.Everything had worked fine before,but due to a hard drive failure had to start all over,and to no avail I have no sound what so ever . The speakers are known good and plugged into to the power source…This thing is really getting on my nerves so any help would be GREATLY !!!! appreciated
