Special AV Promo: Will it work?

Our company has a very effective, highly scalable antivirus/antispam/full content security product that is not widely known. Our goal is increase market awareness and get more IT departments to try our product.

We are considering a promotion where all free 30-day downloads qualify for a monthly drawing where the winning company receives a free, unlimited license and service support for 1 year. The drawing would be done by an independent third party. Enterprise value of the prize anywherefrom $1,000 to well over $100,000.

Would this promotion work? Pro’s or cons to this idea?

Would it be better to offer personal prizes to the IT manager than the company-derived benefit/savings?
