Speed of 10 MBPS network

I have used following setup for testing the actual speed of my network:
Server:PIII 800MHz 32MB RAM 10/100 MBPS NIC HDD Speed 100MBPS
Switch:10/100 MBPS
NODE:PIII 500MHz 32MB RAM
OS : Novel 4.11 & Windows98 in DOS mode (BOOT)
Now I did following with this setup:
a) Copy a 13 MB file in Server from one directory to another directory. It took 35seconds
b) Copy the same file from server to node.
It took 15seconds
As my setup has minimim 10MBPS speed and at this speed a 13 MB file should take less that 2 seconds. But my results took 7 to 15 times more time. I could not understatd the reason. Please help me
