Hi,
I have a Dell Dimension 4100 Computer. 800 Mhz P III. 133 Mhz frontside bus. 133 Mhz SDRAM. Motherboard is model D815EEA, made by intel however the bios is updated at Dell.com.
Ram is 2 banks of 1. I have a 128 MB module in one of the banks, the other is empty.
Using SiSoft Sandra I can see that my ram is… Micron 16LSDT1664AG-133C7 5506B3C6 128 MB 16x(8Mx8) SDRAM PC 133U-333-542 (CL3 upto 133 Mhz) (CL 2 up to 100 Mhz)
Bank settings are as follows…
Bank 2 Setting 64 MB SDRAM 8-1-1-1R 6-1-1-1W 3-3-3CL
Bank 3 Setting 64 MB SDRAM 8-1-1-1R 6-1-1-1W 3-3-3CL
I guess my question is how can I change my ram to CL 2 or otherwise overclock / enhance its speed? My bios has no options on configuring any of that, and there is no jumper pins on my mobo. I’ve patched the latest BIOS file and looked around the net for some “soft BIOS” programs that will let me tweak it that way but I have been unable to find anything. Any help would be greatly appreciatedYours Truly,
Will
