spooled print jobs coming out in incorrect order

Hi all

we have a hosted application based in a datacentre and users login through citrix and terminal servers.

The issue here is that when the app sends spooled print jobs to the users local machine they become out of synch. here is the scenario – i print 4 documents, all of 1 page each and they have a cover sheet which is a seperate print job so for one doc of x pages another header page is also created – this appears to work fine. like so

1 page header doc

1 actual doc

1 page header doc

1 actual doc

however if i was to select 50 documents to print all of varying numbers of pages this causes the issue. as an example some of the docs and header jobs could be just a few hundred KB however some of the docs could be 50 – 200 meg or more. the local print spooler appears to still be processing the larger docs whilst the smaller docs then become spooled before the larger one.

like so

1 page header
1 doc of 400k 1 page
1 page header
1 doc of 200k 1 page
1 page header
1 doc of 200k 1 page
1 doc of 200k 1 page
1 doc of 200k 1 page
1 doc of 200k 1 page
1 actual doc of 39 pages 40MB

The application also goes through keyview to process this which is software that allows you to open pretty much any type of doc.

Is this a citrix issue? can it be over come locally? Would installing the correct printer driver achieve anything? does te maped citrix driver have any properties that can be changed to overcome this?
