Spreading An Unsecured Connection With My Router

Still waiting on sky to install my internet. So im using the guys unsecured internet thats in the same building as myself. It works great, I use an ethernet cable from my laptop to my PS3 to get it online, IT WORKS.

I put the cable into my D-Link wireless router and did get my IPOD TOUCH to connet to it and get internet butt then lost it.

please can someone tell me how to get this to work properly.

Im using a notebook with XP to connect then enable sharing and an ethernet cable to my router.
