Sprint wireless card not allowing HP computer to shut down

We have just recently recieved Srint wirless cards for our computers at the fire department, we added the software to all of out laptops and now have an issue with the HP computers getting stuck on the shut down window of xp pro. The software and cards work fine with dell. Anyone know why?
