I recently decided to use Spybot Search and Destroy as a secondary sweep of my system to check for anything Spysweeper was leaving behind, since I know that no single program is perfect. Well, for that matter, I could probably use everything on the market, and STILL have something fall through the cracks. But anyway, back to my point.
Spybot S&D has a feature called “immunize” which will protect you from visiting sites that are reported to them, or found by their people, to be bad sites for one reason or another. So I figured I would go ahead and immunize the system, since it’s all recently been reinstalled.
Now this is not my first time with Spybot S&D, but this time was the first time it EVER caused my links to TR’s site not to work. I found that at least 90% of the links in a single email would not work after using the feature.
I gotta tell you, it does NOT make me happy to find that a spyware protection program thinks TR is a spy site of some sort.
I disabled the immunization, but I really think some of the staff @ TR should contact Spybot S&D’s people to find out why their links are considered “bad”, unless TR doesn’t mind being considered a spy site ot whatever.
That’s my story, and my opinion. If it were my site being reported as a spy site or “bad” for some reason, I would be ALL OVER the guys who called it that.
