SQL 2000 issue

by jonathon.johnson . Updated 17 years, 4 months ago

I’m browseing through the logs and am noticed alot of “DBCC TRACEON 1717, server process ID….” followed by “DBCC TRACEOFF 1717, server process ID….” a few thousandths of a second later. Usually the log has very little to nothing in it worthwhile other then startup and shutdown info.

Searching the web hasn’t told me anything useful other than other’s have the same question. Does anyone know?

I’m not by far a DBA. I just got injected into this job and SQL became my new area to learn. I’ve figured out the scripting bit, but haven’t quite figured my way around the software beyound that. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
