SQL 6.5 multiple Outer Join problem

Receiving Msg 301, Level 16, State 1
Query contains an illegal outer-join request.

Scenario: Table A left join to B, then I need B to left join to C. Also, Table A left join to D, then left join D to E,F,and G.
