sql dmo

i have created an application that uses the sqldmo library to access sql7/2000 servers on a network. after installing it on a client machine that does not have sql server or msde, the program runs but only picks up sql7 servers and when trying to log on to a server gives the message “[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver]invalid attribute/option identifier”.
i have included all the files listed in msdn & the mdac files i need. i have also added a udl to the client and this only picks up sql7 servers too although it does connect. I used INNO SETUP to create the setup.exe. Please help!!!
