Stability prob of new NW5.1 on HPLH3000

by rayhklai . Updated 25 years, 4 months ago

I have a new HP LH3000 server and want to install netware 5.1.

I want to install it with the country code of “088 Traditional chinese”. After fresh new installations, when the server starts up, at times, it has stability issue and the server said it experienced critical error. It didn’t see the error explictly, it mentioned it’s a nm-1001c.
Check this errory on novell and said it’s releated to NDPS, fine, I removed it, same problem comes back.

I don’t know what’s causing a new server to behave like that. The failure to successful rate of loading up is 5:1. I saw the docuemnt 10059830 on novell site and they suggested to get NICI 1.5.6. Well, good try, cos I can’t find that on their web site. So, I download the NICI 1.5.4, and tried to use it. No working. Therefore, I tried to use the country Code US, try the installation of both HP navigator CD and the Novell prep disk. Things seem better with Novell Prep disk installation. But the “server experience critical error” problem will come back if I remove a product and/or install a new product (like norton antivuris).

Does anyone has an idea of this screnio?

thanks,
Raymond
