Standby Mode Win XP SP3

I have reinstalled the original IBM Win XP SP3 with an OEM SP3 plus all updates on my IBM Thinkpad G40. Standby Mode is now “greyed out” on this OEM
version. I have reloaded the Power Mgt drivers, still does not work. Any suggestions what else I can try…..thanks
