Static Nat

I want to configure the static nat in simulation software only, but I wonder if I can just map the client address to the outside router IP address or not!
Ex: ip nat inside source 192.168.1.2 203.189.128.1 ???
Will it work? Just want to know mapping is succeeded or not!
