Symantec Anti-Virus Corporate Ed. v 9.x

I have one workstation XP Pro. SP2 that when I go to the configuration for File System Realtime Protection. It has a check mark beside File System Realtime Protection (disabled). But the icon in the system tray doesn’t show as disabled.

I tried to uninstall and reinstall the anti-virus but it’s still the same. I’ve also scanned the computer for virus and spyware and come back negative.
