Symantec Endpoint Protection

News that is a bit worrisome and flying under the radar a bit:

As I understand it:

1) Symantec has had 12 days to fix it and hasn’t.

2) Symantec went from multiple updates per day to a single update per day for 7 days (Jan 1-Jan 7).

I find this event worrisome. A single update per day for 7 days? I’m surprised malware writers weren’t able to exploit this situation.
