Syncing missing network folders

How do I get a laptop to stop trying to sync to a network folder that no longer exists? We had to replace a server and the new server has a different name. We tried to get all users to turn of the offline access to the folders on that server but we missed a few. Now their laptops try to sync to a folder that doesn’t exist. I can’t go to the folder share and turn off the syncing, is there another way to get it to stop?
